Funeral services for Kathleen “Kat” Nowlin, 88, of Como will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leo Wisniewski officiating.
Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with Dakota Brown and John Glenn serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 12, at the funeral home.
Kathleen “Kat” Nowlin died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
She was born in Como on March 30, 1925, the daughter of Willie and Tersie (Neyland) Blann.
She married Garvin Nowlin in San Antonio on May 5, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She was a retired laundry manager for Washington State D.S.H.S. and a member of Black Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Elton Nowlin of Tacoma, Wa., and Victor Scott Nowlin of Como; grandchildren Kelcey Harris and husband, Rob, of Belfair, Wa., Robert Kinsey and wife, Amanda, of Gig Harbor, Wa., Jim Kinsey and wife, Deanna, of Bend, Ore.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Margaret Blann; and brother John Blann.
