Funeral services for Larkin Drummond, 80, of Winnsboro will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edgar Clements officiating.
Burial will follow at the Macon Cemetery with Michael Parr, Stanley Townsend, Richard Porter, Roy Hipp, Chuck Marosek, Gene Parr and Daniel Crooks serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the funeral home.
Mr. Drummond died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Franklin County to Damon Robert and Aileen Kyser Drummond.
He married Joy Overby on May 23, 1959, in Commerce. She survives.
Upon retirement, Mr. Drummond was serving as the superintendent of Harts Bluff ISD.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the National Guard and retired in 1994.
Other survivors include a son Kim Drummond and his wife, Rebecca, of Canton; daughters Maier Porter and husband, Randy, of Winnsboro and Ginger Davis and husband, Brodie, of Cleveland, S.C.; brother Keith Drummond of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters Lynn Parr of Mount Pleasant and Doris Stone of Red Oak; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
