A memorial service for Dolly Ann Garner, 70, of Balch Springs will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Edgemont Park Baptist Church in Mesquite.
Mrs. Garner died Thursday morning, May 23, 2013, at her home in Balch Springs.
Dolly Ann was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Dallas, the daughter of Tony and Ruby Long.
She married Harvey Garner on May 21, 1960. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1994.
Survivors include her siblings, Judy Elam, Larry Jennings, Nelda Kelley, Sue Moseley, Toni Evans and David Long; five sons, Jacky Garner and wife, Debra, James Garner, David Garner, Kenneth Garner and wife, Bonnie, and Larry Scott Garner; her grandchildren and their spouses, Mazie and Seth McDanial, Kara Garner, Brandi and Kyle Shamburger, Devon Garner, Josh Davis, Aaron Brenkman, Ashley and Chris Ledford, Christopher Garner, Tristan Garner, Fred Moseley, Chris Moseley and Jessica Combs; and great-grandchildren Weston Shamburger, Brooklyn Hoffman, Kolsten Garner, Jeremy Moseley, Nicholas Moseley, Alex Moseley, Mason Moseley, Dale Moseley, Brianna Combs, Leola Combs and Natalie Ledford.
She was also preceded in death by he parents; siblings Sandra Featherston and Roddy Long.
Mrs. Garner willed her body to the Southwestern Medical Center to help in the fight against cancer.
