    Funeral services for Leon Clayton, 80, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Harold B. Nash officiating.

    Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery with the Men’s Adult Sunday School Class of Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church serving as pallbearers.
    There will be no formal visitation.
    Viewing will be held Friday, May 31, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Mason & Mason Mortuary.
    Mr. Clayton died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation.
    Leon Clayton was born Dec. 6, 1931, in North Hopkins, the son of Osi and Tresi Alsobrook Clayton. They preceded him in death.
    Mr. Clayton served in the United States Army for five years and retired as a welder for the United States Navy after 25 years.
    Survivors include his wife, Ellen Sue Clayton; one son, Gearld Clayton; three daughters, Carol Daily, Tammy Demery and Toleia Sims; and nine grandchildren.
