A graveside service for LaVerne Flora Guidry, 91, of Como will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, in Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. Guidry died Friday morning, Feb. 13, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab.
LaVerne Flora Guidry was born in Algoa on Aug. 12, 1917, the daughter of Paul and Bessie Edith Coleman Flora.
She married Swin Guidry at Alvin, on Oct. 3, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Guidry was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Alvin.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Betty Flora of Como; one sister, Bernice Thompson of Ashville, N.C.; and two sisters-in-law, Arlene Flora and Bo Flora, both of Como.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lester Flora and Herbert Flora.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Radio and T.V. Ministry in Sulphur Springs.
