She married Scott Allen White on June 13, 2002.
Gladys graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and attended Ashford University in 2009. She was a Suiphur Springs resident and a care provider for home health.
Gladys enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Southern gospel music. She was a very loving, caring and compassionate person to be around. She was an inspiration to many. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Whitee; two brothers, Earnest Miller Johnson and Eddie Dewayne Johnson; two sisters, Billie Ruth Johnson and Opal Pauline Normandeau; and many nephews and nieces.
Gladys was preceded in death by her father, Melrose Miller Johnson, and her mother, Betty Ruth Johnson; two brothers, Gary Frank Johnson and Billie Wayne Johnson; one sister, Frances Sue Johnson; a grandfather, T.B. Thornburgh; a grandmother, Nora Thornburgh; and three aunts, Frances Tolin, Opal Pauline Thornburgh and Dean Hopkins.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Fellowship Christian Church with the Pastor Tom Fisbie officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Burial will follow at Oddsfellow Cemetery.
