Darrell Graduated from Carrollton’s RL Turner high school in 1974 and from the University Of Dallas in 1978.
He retired from Southwestern Bell Yellow pages in 1999 after several years developing & maintaining the Dallas data center. Darrell moved from Dallas to Brashear in 1999.
Darrell is survived by his life Partner of 18 years, Patrick Gage of Brashear Texas. His sister & brother-in-law Bette & Robert Ralls of Canton Texas, his nieces: Kelly Ralls, Kara Broyles & Kim Carson , Great nephews: Brook Ralls & Tyler Holbein, Great Nieces: Kendra Ralls, Taylor Ralls, Kaitlynn Broyles, Summer Broyles, Kylee Carson, Jade Fritz, Great-Great Niece: Marilyn Ralls. Brother-In-Law Frank Brown & Wife Elizabeth Brown of Quartz Hill California, nephews: Michael Brown & Patrick Brown, nieces: Kelly Banuelas & Jenny Brown & Great niece Sophia Banuelas. Friends: Paula Albright of Grand Prairie, Clay Cushing of Trujillo Peru as well as the many other folks he inspired throughout his life.
Darrell generously donated his body to the Genesis donor program through the medical education and research institute of Memphis Tennessee for the further study of scoliosis, a condition Darrell nobly endured throughout his life. A memorial celebrating the life of Darrell is pending upon the completion of the institute’s research.
