A funeral service for Melba Sue Stewart, 80, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Williams and the Rev. Billy Sharber officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with nephews Jason Sharber, Billy Sharber, Mike Wooten, Steve Wooten, John Williams, Tony Williams, Kevin Williams, Jeremy Sickles, Jared Brumley, Steve Schwartz, Robert James, Kelly Wiser and Kyle Peeks serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Melba Sue Stewart died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Mount Vernon on Sept. 21, 1932, the daughter of Hal Sharber and Susan Agnes (Perrin) Sharber.
She was a retired A.M.P.I. bookkeeper and office manager and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of D.A.R. and Professional Women’s Association Secretary Club.
Survivors include three sisters, Vera Wooten of Watauga, Linda Williams Neal and husband, Tommy, of Sulphur Springs and June Brumley and husband, Junior, of Pickton; three brothers, Joe Hal Sharber and wife, Mary, of Mineola, Charles Wesley Sharber and wife, Sherry, of Sulphur Springs and Harold Lee Sharber and wife, Rita, of England; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Neal Sharber and Gene Paul Sharber.
