A graveside service for Etta Lou Carroll, 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at North Hopkins Cemetery with the Rev. T.C. Carroll and the Rev. Jordan Byrd officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Long, Dan McKinney, Mark McClendon and Jay McClendon.
No formal visitation is scheduled.
Etta Lou Carroll died Thursday morning, Jan. 31, 2013, at Texoma Medical Center in Sherman.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Birthright on Aug. 5, 1929, the daughter of Tommy Sandifeer and Mattie Lucille (Perkins) Sandifeer.
She married Roy Lee Carroll in Birthright on Nov. 3, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a retired teacher’s aide for North Hopkins Independent School District and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonya Brown and husband, Mark, of Sherman and Tanye Byrd and husband, Ron, of Whitehouse; grandchildren Eli Brown and Kami Dever and husband, Ben, Jordan Byrd and wife, Stevie, and Josh Byrd; and one great-grandchild, Levi Dever.
Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
