Graveside services for Everette Lee Alexander Jr., 82, of Brashear will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Shirley Cemetery with Neal Alexander and David Burns officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mr. Alexander died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in the Shirley community, the son of Everette Alexander Sr. and Lula Mae Walker.
He married Wanda Nan Barrett on July 7, 1951. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 2011.
Mr. Alexander was the owner and operator of Alexander Truck Repair until his retirement in 2002.
Survivors include his son, David Alexander and wife, Emily, of Brashear; three grandchildren, Kim Self and husband, Chris, of Brashear, Dan Alexander and wife, Rebecca, of Sulphur Springs, and Neal Alexander and wife, Pamela, of Sherman; great-grandchildren Derek and Haylee Millard, Heather, Dalton and Devin Self, Abbie, Ellie, Katie, and Andrew Lee Alexander, Jordan Everette, Samuel, Teah and Jennah Alexander; and one sister, Eddene Roberts of Brashear.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild, Krysten Millard.
