Funeral services for Leeman H. Cook, 92, of Greenville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville with the Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating.

Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park with Jerry Stevens, Gary Trainor, Olen Gillean, Carl Hess, Roy Hudson and Ed Mann serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Cook died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Hunt Regional Medical Center.  

He was born July 24, 1920, in Bonham, the son of John Henry and Maggie Margaret (Barnard) Cook.  

On Aug. 14, 1937, he married Cordie Fay Hale in Greenville. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2000.  

He married Cordell Vandagriff on July 13, 2002, in Greenville. She survives.

Mr. Cook served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran.  

He was retired from E/Systems. He was a founding father of the Greenville Little League and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.  

Other survivors incude a son, Rickey Don Cook and wife, Sue, of Sulphur Springs;  step-sons James Wattenbarger and Jerry Wattenbarger and wife, Kay; step-daughter Judy Hodges and husband, Warren; brother Harold Cook of Fort Worth; grandchildren Rod Cook, Leslie Cook, Marcus Cook and wife, Amber, Aaron Cook and wife, Aimee, and Heather McDaniel; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons, James Michael Cook in 1995 and Jerry Lee Cook in 2003.
