Graveside services for Joyce Johnson Floyd, 73, of Cooper will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper with Henry Suche and Steve Cook officiating.
A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the First United Methodist Church in Cooper.
Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday night at Delta Funeral Home.
Mrs. Floyd died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in Dallas.
Joyce Johnson Floyd was born in Hopkins County, April 19, 1939, the daughter of Ben Leighton Johnson and Ella Cope Johnson.
On May 29, 1960, she married Davis Lee Floyd; he preceded her in death, Oct. 24, 1990.
Mrs. Floyd was retired from Cooper ISD and had lived in Cooper since 1960. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cooper and Junior Afflatus Club.
Survivors two sons, Damon Floyd of Athens and Brad Floyd of Mount Vernon; one brother, Bill Johnson of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one sister, Janet Johnson of Sulphur Springs; and five grandchildren, Blace Floyd, Payne Floyd, Emily Floyd, Bailey Floyd and Jack Floyd.
