Funeral services for Joy Jeanine McMakin Pinkerton, 81, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Spence Chapel at First

Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Wilson and the Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. 

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Spence Chapel. 

Interment will follow at Sand Flat Cemetery in Grand Saline with Jacob Glidewell, Thomas Glidewell, Marvin Wilson, Rory Myers II, David Myers, David Stanfield, Ben Braly and Jeremy Roemisch serving as pallbearers. 

Mrs. Pinkerton died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. 

She was born on June 22, 1931, to Philip and Lillie McMakin at the “forks in the road” Grand Saline. They preceded her in death. 

Jeanine married Joe Allen Pinkerton on July 20, 1946. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1997. 

Mrs. Pinkerton was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her children, Larry Pinkerton and wife, Sharon, Jo Ellen Glidewell and husband, Tom, Karen Wilson and husband, Rick, and Frances Myers and husband, Rory; brother Bob McMakin and wife, Glenda; grandchildren Saedra Pinkerton and husband, Ben Braly, Beverley Morgan, Amanda Stanfield and husband, David, Jacob Glidewell and wife, Stephanie, Thomas Glidewell, Marvin Wilson and wife, Amber, Laresa Roemisch and husband, Jeremy, Rory Myers II, David Myers, and Lacy Rodriguez and husband, Rene; and great-grandchildren Nolan and Lilly Braly, Donovan, Michaela and Azlynne Stanfield, Cadence and Alianna Glidewell, Benjamin and Caden Wilson, Harrison Roemisch, Alex Myers, Aiden and Jollen Rodriguez. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Television Ministry of First Baptist Church, 116 Oak Ave., Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482.
