Funeral services for Travis E. “Tot” Herman, 82, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating.
Interment followed at North Hopkins Cemetery with Rickey Gilliam, Michael Arrellano, Steve Mitchell, Nate Teague, Cary Gilliam and Cameron Mitchell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was G. R. Romans.
Mr. Herman died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Travis E. “Tot” Herma was born in Birthright on June 2, 1930, the son of Oscar Earl Herman and Irie Sandifeer.
He married Nancy Ann White on May 15, 1967, in Longview. She survives.
Mr. Herman was a professional horse trainer and jockey.
Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Dolly and Rickey Gilliam of Como, Sandy and Michael Arrellano of North Richland Hills and Sue and Steve Mitchell of Sulphur Springs; 11 grandchildren, Ashley Teague, Cary Gilliam, Felicia Arrellano, Candice McGinn, Kylie Arrellano, Jeremy Arrellano, Savanah Arrellano, Colton Arrellano, Anthony Arrellano, Afton Hare and Cameron Mitchell; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arlis Herman and a sister, Glenna Faye Moss.
