Funeral services for Jo McGill, 68, of Como were held Thursday, Oct. 11, at Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Derrick Johnson officiating.
Interment was in Independent Cemetery with Roderick Robinson, Malik Gray, C. Clenn Gordon Sr., Leroy Ford, Fred Pipkins Henry Lee Berry and Lydell McGill serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Grant, Paul Ray Harper, Stephen Gray and Dyrone Williams.
Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Tapp Funeral Home.
Jo McGill died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
Mrs. McGill was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Quitman, the daughter of Clinton and I.B. Gordon.
She married Jimmie McGill in Wood County in 1963. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Survivors include her mother; five daughters, Doris Hall of Plano, Brenda Dial of Sulphur Springs, Barbara McGill and Carol McGill, both of Como, and Carolyn Riley of Minneola; three brothers, Edward Gordon and wife, Jenell, of Sertz, Paul Gordon of Killeen and David Gordon and wife, Barbara, of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Sherlyn McLemore and husband, Orie, of Los Angeles and Dorothy Warren and husband, Eurie, of Lindale; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her father; a brother, Charles Gordon; and a grandchild, Jimmy Lynn Clayton.
Arrangements are under direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
