Funeral services for Joyce Jenkins, 75, of Brashear will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Randles officiating
and the Rev. Guy Mays assisting.
Burial will follow in Reilly Springs Cemetery with Kevin Jenkins, Lanny Jenkins, Manual Jenkins, Dale Owens, Mack Jennings and Darren King serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the New Shirley Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jenkins died Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Joyce Jenkins was born in the Greenview community on April 12, 1933, the daughter of William Morris and Allie Mae Rowe Thompson. They preceded her in death.
She married Kenneth Ray Jenkins on Aug. 3, 1957, in Blue Ridge. He survives.
Mrs. Jenkins retired from Hometown Century 21 in Sulphur Springs. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the New Shirley Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lynn Buster of Brashear; one sister, Barbara Nell King of Terrell; and two granddaughters, Kimberly Buster of Sulphur Springs and Lindsey Breaux of Lantana.
She was also preceded in death two sons, Kenneth Ray Jenkins Jr. and Steven Glenn Jenkins; and one sister, Patsy Jean Parker.
