Funeral services for Nelo Dee Tedford, 77, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Interment will be at New Pickton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.
Mr. Tedford died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012.
He was born on Monday, Jan. 7, 1935, in Franklin County to the late Roger D. Tedford and Effie Lee BradleyTedford.
He married Eldora Hearn on Dec. 24, 1955, in Como. She survives.
Mr. Tedford was a retired bookkeeper and owner of a country store. He was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his sons, Tommy Tedford and wife, Janet, of Greenville and Jeff Tedford of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Angie Johnston and husband, Stevan, of Alba; seven grandchildren, Allan Tedford and wife, Jaime, Brandi Murray and husband, J.D., Brandon Caviness and wife, Julie, Hayden Caviness and wife, Christian, Chad Tedford and wife, Monica, Zachary Johnston and Brittany Johnston; and eight great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Chayne, Hayzlye, Gage, Maddison, Mckynle, Jayla and Carson.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Tedford and Robert "Bob" Tedford; and a sister, Glennis Lilly.
