Clyde Ray McClain
Funeral services for Clyde Ray McClain, 81, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Anna Hosemann-Butler officiating.
Clyde Ray McClain, 81, formerly of Sachse, died Aug. 3, 2012, in Tyler.
He was born Jan. 5, 1931, the son of Vernon E. and Pearl (Welch) McClain in Waco. He married Joyce Blasingame in February 1953.
Clyde served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was Baptist. He was also a member of Texas Thoroughbred Association.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce McClain; two sons, Sydney C. Hunter and wife, Sheryl, and Clyde Dale Foxell; one daughter, Joy Gregary and husband, Earl; three sisters, Tommie L. Hefflefinger, Mildred L. Woodruff and Mary G. Stamm; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leslie E. McClain; and two sisters, Rilda L. McCorkle and Leta V. Cardwell.
