Graveside services for Neil Junior Henderson, 81, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
Aug. 7, at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Chaplin Mark Alred officiating. Honorary pallbearers are the past and present members of the Wildcatter's Association.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Henderson died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at his residence in Rockwall, after a three year battle with cancer.
He was born on July 8, 1931, in Sulphur Springs, the son of Neil and Lucille Henderson.
Mr. Henderson graduated from high school in 1948, then graduated from East Texas State Teacher's College in 1952.
He taught and coached for more than 35 years before retiring in the Denison area, where he coached for 16 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Neilann Horner and husband, Kyle; one granddaughter, Grace; a sister, Jane Owen; two nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Faith Hospice, 4360 Signa Road, Dallas, Texas 75234; Waples Methodist Church in Denison; or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
