Funeral services for Wayne Nabors, 61, of Como will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vern Hawkins and Pastor Ron Robinson officiating.
A military graveside service under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Couch, Henry Couch, Michael Couch, Larry Ferrell, Gary Rogers and Rena Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be James Pennington and Bill Reck.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Wayne Nabors died Monday, July 30, 2012, in Three Rivers, Texas.
He was born in Cheyenne, Okla., on Sept. 6, 1950, the son of Arzie “Pete” Randolph Nabors and Athena Jeffcoat.
He married Linda Carol Allison in Amarillo on April 11, 1970. She survives.
Mr. Nabors was a truck driver. He was a member of Elm Ridge Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Other survivors include one son, Ronny Nabors and wife, Amanda, of Como; his mother, Athena Nabors of Colorado City, Colo.; three brothers, Jimmy Nabors of Omaha, Neb., Rusty Nabors of Austin and William Nabors of Saltillo; three sisters, Lydia True and Lavene China, both of Amarillo, and Lavon Isbell of Colorado City, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Chris Nabors, Bridget Nabors and Carol Nabors.
He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Michael Nabors.
