Military graveside honors under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition for Rickey Edd Moss, 57, of
Covington, Ga., are scheduld for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Restlawn Memorial Park with the Rev.
James Diamond officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Rickey passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Sheer Medical Center in Alva, Okla.
He was born on July 1, 1955, in Sulphur Springs, the son of Wanna (Coker) Birdwell and Billy K. Birdwell.
Rickey was an environmental safety inspector for the company of MBF. He traveled the world with his job and was a musician at heart. Rickey also enjoyed sky diving. He served in the United States Army.
Rickey is survived by his mother, Wanna Birdwell of Emory; one granddaughter Miryca Moss of Menomonie, Wisc.; one aunt, Myra Burns and husband, Gary, of Reilly Springs; one uncle, Tim Coker of Nashville, Tenn.; cousins Kelli Sims, Brian Coker, Jeff Coker, Leo Coker, Brian Coker Jr., Parker Sims, Katy Coker, Stacey Burns and Grayson Burns, who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Birdwell; one son, Matthew Edd Moss; and grandparents Warner and Annie Lee Coker.
