Funeral services for Kathryn James, 90, of College Station, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Myra Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Tim Gee, Christopher Gee, Robert Hanley, Bryan Burney, Kyle Burney, Zack Burney and Stephen Morello serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. James passed away Monday, July 23, 2012.
She was born on May 27, 1922, in Cooper, the daughter of Jess and Bertha (Anderson) Spencer.
Mrs. James was a junior high school teacher in Bryan for a short time and in Sulphur Springs for the majority of her career, which spanned, 30 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her son, Jim James and wife, Sue, and one grandson, Buck James, all of College Station; one sister, Jean Strickland of Sulphur Springs; and five nieces, Marilyn Bromby, Linda Payne, Carol Gee, Sharon Burney and Frances Kimbrough.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Martha Spencer.
