    Funeral services for Mildred Midgett, 102, of Fort Worth, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at West Oaks Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Adrian officiating.


    Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Charles David Sewell, Lynn Dale Sewell, Joe Wheeler, Harve Chapman, Denny Smalley and Bill Sewell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Cates, Bob Morrison and William Midgett.
    Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
    Mrs. Midgett passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth.
    Mrs. Midgett was born on July 19, 1909, in Hopkins County the daughter of Elbert A. and Martha Elizabeth (Dossett) Sewell.
    She married Elvis Midgett; he preceded her in death.
    Mrs. Midgett was a homemaker, who was an a gardener, seamstress, and cook. She was a member of University Christian Church of Fort Worth.
    Survivors include her daughter, Mary Howell of Fort Worth, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Miller D. Sewell and Dale Sewell; and four sisters, Grace Cates, Vera Midgett, Vara Taylor and Bernese Perkins.
