Frances Claudette ‘Cluck’ Caldwell

Funeral services for Frances Claudette "Cluck" Caldwell, 55, of Cumby will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, in the chapel of Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce with the Rev. Duncan Graham and Rev. Howard Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Cumby with Chase Vaughan, Billy Bratton, Bo Bratton, Casey Hazelwood, Johnny Petty and Kenneth Bearden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Pettit, Steven Smith, Dale Crumpton and Jimmy Evans.

Visitation will be held  from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the funeral home.

Frances Claudette "Cluck" Caldwell died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in Dallas.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1956, in Pampa to Billy and Frances Charlene Strickland.

She married Russell Caldwell on July 1, 1979. He survives.

Frances retired as secretary from Cumby High School.

She is survived by her father; one son, Rickey Vaughan and wife, Tammy; one daughter, Kendra Hood and husband, John; three grandchildren, Chase Vaughan, Erin Vaughan and Slade Hood; one sister, Charlotte Calhoun; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, B. Hazelwood.
