A memorial service for Margarita Rivera Romanat, 94, of North Hollywood, Calif., will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Fellowship Christian Church
with the Rev. Tom Frisbie officiating.
There will be no formal visitation.
Margarita Rivera Romanat died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 22, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, on March 3, 1914, the daughter of Epifanio Velez and Carmen Margarita Franco. She was a secretary for the Board of Education Child Guidance Bureau for the state of New York through New York City. She was a member of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Art and Charlotte Romanat of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Margaret Chastain of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Marina Huyke, of Los Angeles; five grandchildren, Kyle Romanat, Kendra Romanat, Kory Romanat, Jason Schubert and Jenny Schubert; and 11 great-grandchildren, Josh, Caleb, Morisa and Austin Romanat, Jaylen, Addison and Jackson Schubert, Fletcher and Mitchell Romanat, and Jizelle and Jase Schubert.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
