Funeral services for Essie Fay Malone, 76, of Sulphur Springs were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at First United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Cecil
Dodd and Ronald Hall officiating.
Interment followed in Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with grandsons, Junior Malone, Jeff Malone, William Malone, William Moore, Terry Moore and Michael Johnese serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Malone died Saturday, Jan. 24, at her residence.
Essie Fay Malone was born in Broken Bow, Okla., on July 1, 1932, the daughter of Robert Wilson and Maggie Bethel Storey.
She married William Edgar Malone in DeQueen, Ark., on March 23, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Malone was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lena Malone of Winnsboro, Earl Malone of Leesburg, and Dolphus and Virginia Malone, and Jessie and Cindy Malone, all of Sulphur Springs; four daughters and sons-in-law, Robbie Moore of Broken Bow, Okla., Mary Johnese of Vidalia, La., Dessie and Randy Carter of Sulphur Springs, and Julie Malone; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Dessie McHargue and Ava Cole of Antlers, Okla., and Mandy Youngblood of Hugo, Okla.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Franklin Storey; and one sister, Nadine Bridges.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
