Graveside services for Thomas Anthony Hedrick will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Weaver Cemetery with Deacon Jerry Besze officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mr. Hedrick died Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Thomas Anthony Hedrick was born on Nov. 12, 1942, in Houston, the son of Robert Wayne and Rose Marie Piazza Hedrick. They preceded him in death.
He married Edith Jones on Nov. 8, 1996, in Sulphur Springs. She survives.
Mr. Hedrick was a sheet metal worker in Houston. After moving to Sulphur Springs, he worked for Ace Hardware, then opened his own sheet metal shop in 1992. After retiring in July of 2008, he spent his time fishing, boating and telling stories. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Association. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
Other survivors include one son, Forrest Hedrick of Houston; two stepdaughters, Sherie Price of Sulphur Springs and Tracie Garner and husband James, also of Sulphur Springs; six grandchildren, Shanique Ransom, Monica Ransom, Lateesha Ransom, Marissa Randolph, Maison Price, Morgan Price, all of Sulphur Springs; and two great-grandchildren, Takiya Macon and Dashaun Ransom.
