Cleveland 'Bug' Alexander Jr.

Funeral services for Cleveland “Bug” Alexander Jr. of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at League Street Church of Christ with Bro. D. D. Coleman officiating.  
Interment will follow in East Caney Cemetery with Clifton Nash, Dennis Nash, Jimmy Edwards, A. B. Wade, L. V. Harrison Jr., Mike Harrison, Ricky Kelly and Bernard Vaughn serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 1963.  
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at West Oaks Funeral Home.  
Mr. Alexander died Saturday, Jan. 17, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.  
He was born in Sulphur Springs on Aug. 25, 1946, the son of Cleveland Sr., and Rosa Lee Harrison Alexander.  
He married Wanda Sue Alexander on Jan. 17, 1969. She preceded him in death.  
Mr. Alexander attended and graduated in the Sulphur Springs school system. he retired from Burney Valve.  He was a member of the League Street Church of Christ.  
Survivors include one daughter, Reiko Dellnza Alexander of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Xavier Clevon Alexander and Dewayne Perry, both of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Dolly Foster and Jean Barrett; one brother, Clyde Alexander; and 12 grandchildren, Shaquille, China and Iverson Wade, Makenzie and Caleb Alexander, Ashley, Kayla, Alexis and Deanna Perry, Enlin, Mantha and Kianna Dawson.   
He was preceded in death by his parents.
