Funeral services for Ruby Pearl Teer, 70, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Cashion officiating.
Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with Leland Calverley, Tommy Calverley Jr., Ronnie Davenport, Eric Vinson, Allan Teer, Justin Teer, Keith Turner and Jason Frashier serving as pallbearers. Makayla Teer will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home.
Ruby Pearl Teer died Monday evening, Jan. 12, in Whispering Pine Nursing Home.
She was born in Floydada on Sept. 30, 1938, the daughter of Carl Rufus and Mattie Duff Jolly Yarbrough.
She married Max Teer in Hugo, Okla., on May 4, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Teer was an L.V.N. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, James Max Teer of Sulphur Springs and Carl Bailey Teer of Seven Points; one brother, Buddy Yarbrough of Como; four sisters, Trula Davenport of Emory, Bessie Calverley of Wills Point, Doris Kirkland of Shamrock and Ruth Katherine “Sissie” Love of Terrell; and three grandchildren, Allan Teer, Justin Teer and Makayla Teer.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Witworth and Stella Kirkland.
Memorials may be made to Black Oak Cemetery Association.
