Marie 'Boogie' Aguilar
Funeral services for Marie “Boogie” Aguilar, 78, of Sulphur Springs were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Aguilar officiating.
Interment followed at West Memorial Cemetery in Quinlan with Dan Aguilar, Cletius Brown, Trini Aguilar, Parker Aguilar, Refugio Aguilar, Paul Aguilar and Jeremy Chichester serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Aguilar died Tuesday morning, Dec. 30, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Quinlan on March 27, 1930, the daughter of Alex and Ollie McDaniel Watson.
She married Roy P. Aguilar in 1948. He survives.
Mrs. Aguilar was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Chichester of Temple and Laura Omernik of Madison, Wis.; three sons, Dan Aguilar of Palm City, Fla., and David Aguilar and Paul Aguilar, both of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, David Harrell of Warrior, Ala., and Gerald Harrell of Shamong, N.J.; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Chichester, Erin Chichester, Christopher Aguilar, Courtney Aguilar, Parker Aguilar, Alex Aguilar and Ciara Omernik; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
