Lola J. Coker Hughes
Funeral services for Lola J. Coker Hughes, 84, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, in Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Cokerofficiating.
Burial will follow in Yantis Cemetery with Charlie Ross, Jessie Sewell, Junior Holland, Larry Holland, Bobby Ogle and Scott Ogle serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hughes died Friday, Dec. 26, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Lola Justeene Coker was born in Yantis on Oct. 29, 1924, the daughter of Bud and Odessa Coker. She married C.W. Hughes in 1962. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hughes retired from Super Handy Convenience Stores after more than 31 years of employment. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church of Yantis.
Survivors include tow daughter, Ava Wilson of Sulphur springs and Jackie Johnson of Bonham; five grandsons, Clint Wilson, Roy Wilson and Charlie Ross of Kemp, Brad Gregory of Dallas and Jessie Sewell of Sulphur Springs; two grand daughters, Jamie Gore of Campbell and Cindy Gregory of Kemp; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Madaline Wilson of Yantis; and two brothers, Merrell Coker of Sulphur Springs and Joe coker of Killeen.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Braden; and three brothers, Reed Coker, L.D. Coker and L.J. Coker.
