Courthouse repairs back on track

Workers should soon be back on the job making repairs to Hopkins County Courthouse after having been shut down for about three weeks.

School board to tackle full agenda in Monday's regular session

School trustees will have a full slate Monday when they meet in regular session. The Sulphur Springs Independent School District board agenda includes four action items, as well as numerous reports over programs, progress and planning.

The Student Guide: Writing assignments lead Jerry Tittle to a career in counseling

Jerry Tittle, who will retire this year after 39 years in educations, 27 of them with Sulphur Springs ISD, didn’t plan on being a school counselor. He actually started his long career in public schools as an English teacher. He was inspired by two English teachers at Mount Vernon ISD.
