TAMUC faculty fellow finishes project

COMMERCE, Texas —Texas A&M University-Commerce Faculty Fellow Dr. Robynne Lock continues to be heavily engaged in her project entitled “Development of Studio Mode in Physics.” Studio Mode was implemented at this university beginning in Fall 2015 in University Physics I and II, which are required for most science, math and engineering majors.


PJC opens ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ Thursday

Magic springs to life on stage this week at Paris Junior College with the opening Thursday evening of “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” at 7:30 p.m. in the Ray E. Karrer Theater. Evening showings continue Friday and Saturday and a 2:30 p.m. matinee showing will be held on Sunday.


Sixty-three students participate in ‘Research Day’ at Capitol

COMMERCE, Texas — Sixty-three lucky students from 51 different universities across the state of Texas participated in the “Texas Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol” event which took place March 28 in Austin. The event included a variety of activities for students, such as a tour of the Capitol building, Senate/House committee meetings, and meetings of the full Texas Senate and Texas House of Representatives.


Gee Library at TAMUC selected to host ‘Native Voices’ exhibit

COMMERCE, Texas —Texas A&M University-Commerce Libraries’ Gee Library has been selected to host “Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness,” a panel and iPad-based traveling exhibit that focuses on themes of Native American, Alaskan Native and Native Hawaiian wellness, illness and cultural life, and how they are all interconnected.


PJC has cheerleading clinic, tryouts Saturday

A morning cheer clinic and afternoon tryouts will be held this Saturday, April 1, at the Hunt Center by Paris Junior College.
