Como-Pickton Elementary will be holding its annual Head Start, Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten Round-up next week.
Registration is only required for new students. Children already enrolled at Como-Pickton will not need to be registered for kindergarten.
Parents can stop by the school and pick up a packet in the elementary office between from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, March 2-6. Completed packets can then be returned to the school the following week, March 9-13, from 8:30 – 2:30. Parents and guardians will be able at that time to talk with school personnel about any questions they may have about registration or the programs.
When returning application packets, parents will be required to present for the child applying a Social Security card, original birth certificate, and up to date shot records. All applicants will also be asked to provide proof of residency within the district, such as a utility bill, and a picture identification card for the person enrolling the student.
Those applying for the Head Start program will be required to provide proof of household incomes.
