Schools: Yantis, C-P boards to address agendas Monday night

Both Como-Pickton and Yantis school boards will be holding their monthly meetings Monday night at their respective campuses.

Como-Pickton will conduct a public hearing on the district’s 2011-12 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas results during their meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Professional Learning Center (the building next door to the administration office).

Among the items C-P trustees will be asked to consider approving are a venue for high school graduation, Holy Highway improvement requirements, a district improvement plan and  resolutions to elect a member to represent the school on Hopkins County and Wood County Appraisal Districts board of directors. They will also be asked to approve the police department and conduct a superintendent evaluation.

Yantis trustees will hear the district’s results on the No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified status report and a custodial report, during their monthly meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in Yantis school cafeteria

Among the items Yantis trustees will be asked to consider approving are a network upgrade, minimum bid for a tax sale, purchase of a mower and budget amendments. Trustees will also be asked to vote on a person to represent them on Wood County Appraisal District Board of Directors and during executive session will be asked to accept resignations. The agenda did not indicate who was resigning.
