Murder suspect Tony Crayton was brought back to Hopkins County this afternoon by Hopkins County Sheriff’s deputies.
Crayton, 31, was transported straight to the county jail after he was released from Tyler's Trinity Mother Frances Hospital, where he was treated for injuries sustained when he leapt from the League Street overpass onto the traffic lanes of Interstate 30 on Oct. 22, minutes after the body of his wife, 27-year-old Jessica Tyler Crayton, was discovered in her Morris Drive home.
Bayuk said Crayton was served with an arrest warrant at the Tyler hospital Friday and was arraigned in Smith County.
Crayton has been under police guard since being flown to Tyler last week.
