SULPHUR SPRINGS — The Hopkins County Courthouse square will be aglow Friday, Aug. 23, as all Hopkins County students from the 7th grade through the 12th grade are invited to a “Glow Out” prior to the first day of school.
“What we have planned is a chance for students to get together and have fun,” said Mia Millsap, a sophomore at Sulphur Springs High School, who organized the event along with Kalen Lewis, also a SSHS sophomore.
The action begins at 8:30 p.m. and is set to conclude at 11 p.m.
Among the activities will be glow art face painting, games by Dustin Barrett, music by a DJ and a message on discipleship by Abby Tipps, 2013 Sulphur Springs High School graduate.
“Bring your glow sticks,” Millsap said.
Little Caesar’s Pizza will offer food and drink for sale.
