Westbrook Construction began work on the Connally Street driveway at Sulphur Springs High School earlier this week. Charles Westbrook was using equipment to move dirt to “revamp” the surface to correct some drainage issues.
He said one end of the drive was about a foot lower than the other. This should help redirect water flow. The crew is expected to begin pouring one section of the concrete Friday, and weather permitting, work on the rest next week. Westbrook said Aug. 9 is the project completion date the crew is targeting.
