The overall winner of the 5K Milk Fun Run Saturday was once again Everett Wilder, with a time of 16.59 minutes, with Ross Hicks in second with 17.35 minutes, and Nathan George third with 17.51 minutes.
In the 12-18 year category, Madison Ramirez finished first among girls and Nathan George first among guys. Gracie Boyer finished second and Jaci Taylor third among teen girls, while Riley Mitchell was second and Logan Miller third among teen guys.
Wilder and Ross, naturally, finished first and second among males age 19-25, and Tanner Bolton finished out the category in third. Rosa Cofradia finished first and Kenzi Taylor second among females age 19-25.
Ana Billingsley won first, Jeannie Wiedenbeck second and Brooke Burns third among females ages 26-35. Moises Netro came in first, Victor Rodriguez second and Brent Waits third in the males ages 26-35.
Glen Wiedenbeck won first, Jay Griner second and Jerry Burton third among male participants ages 36-45 years. Sabrina Ramirez was the top female age 36-45; Chrissy April and Ailsha Caton finished up the category with second and third, respectively.
Among women ages 46-60, Janet Martin won first place honors, Gina Pritchard second and Donna Wallace third. Manuel Jenkins was the first place winner among men ages 46-60.
The top female age 60 or older was Diana McGregor with second going to Peggy Roberts, who made the whole trek from Kids Kingdom, down Houston Street to Church at the square, then back up Connally Street on her walker. She was met at the finish line by a group of supports who embraced her with open arms.
Nearly 90 people were at Kids Kingdom in Buford Park bright and early Saturday for the 8 a.m. start of the Dairy Festival Milk Run 5K and Kids Dairy Dash, which was sponsored this year by Galyean Insurance, Anytime Fitness and Head2Toe Nutrition.
