Sulphur Bluff junior high students will be hosting a raffle to raise the remaining funds needed for an educational field trip.
Each sixth, seventh and eighth grader has been tasked with selling at least 10 tickets at a rate of $1 each for the drawing for four tickets to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels. The waterpark package is valued at $188. The drawing will be held April 30.
Tickets can be attained from any Sulphur Bluff 6th-8th grade student or their teachers — Lena Moore, Kathy Hogue and Renee Weeks, through April 26. The student who sells the most tickets will also be rewarded.
The funds will be pared with those provided by Sulphur Bluff PTO so the students can afford a trip to the Holocaust Museum. The PTO only pays a portion of the admission for 6th-8th grade Accelerated Reader trips. Hence the raffle to raise more funds.
