Two of four expensive saddles taken in a burglary of a barn on County Road 4762 on March 13 have been recovered and Chief Investigator Lewis Tatum is asking for help in locating a suspect and the remaining saddles.
“Last Friday, we located two of them in Texarkana at a pawn shop,” Tatum said. “Video revealed a Mario Barber, a Black male out of the Cass County area as the subject that was selling the saddles and we have felony warrants on him for theft but have not been able to locate him and we still need the other two saddles.”
Tatum said an individual contacted during the investigation was able to identify the suspect.
The sheriff's department is now asking for help in locating the suspect, Mario Barber, and the remaining two missing saddles.
“If anybody has any idea about Barber or the saddles contact us at 903-438-4040 or Crime Stoppers at 903-885-2020,” Tatum said. “We would appreciate the information.”
