A dozen students from Saltillo Independent School District advanced to the Region 8 Science Fair, and one eighth grader was recognized for placing at the regional fair.

Saltillo science fair winners who advanced to region after placing at the local meet included eighth graders Madison Logan, Brooke McClure and Kendall Kize; seventh graders Sylvia Feijen, Paige Leftwich and Shelby Matlock; sixth graders Lindsay Butler, Calli Calahan and McKenna Wiler; and fifth graders Michael Clover, Thomas Coleman and Savannah Thompson.
Eighth grader Brooke McClure’s project was selected among the top behavior/physical science entries at the regional science fair. She was recognized for finishing third overall in the category.
