Three teams from Sulphur Springs High School competed in the University Interscholastic League District Cross-Examination Debate held Tuesday in Texarkana.
Although the teams did not make the top cut — Hallsville shut out the competition by earning first, second and third in the event — SSHS staff indicated the students had a good showing at the meet.
“The students all did a great job of representing Sulphur Springs,” said SSHS UIL coordinator Gina Wilder.
The team of Rosalynn Karstens and Taylor Moore was recognized for placing fourth in district Tuesday. Also competing from SSHS was the team of Katy Mason and Autumn Keiss and the team made up of Connor McCorkle and Thurman Allen.
