Rachel Johnson’s class (pictured), along with all the students at Early Childhood Learning Center, are getting ready for annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraisers set during February, Healthy Heart Month. All proceeds from the events will benefit the American Heart Association. After Jump Rope for Heart, ECLC students will be demonstrating their jumping skills for parents during an open house scheduled for March 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

During the school’s penny drive, Johnson’s class collected the most copper, a total of $56.20, for Landers’ bail money during the recent Muscular Dystrophy Association Lock-Up. During the drive, the children of ECLC raised a total of $549.28.
