Two Cooper residents were in jail in Delta County Wedneday after officers executed a search warrant at their residence earlier in the day.

JoAnn Palmer, 67, and Jerry Don Palmer, 64, were charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine after Delta County Sheriff’s officers, Sulphur Springs Special Crimes Unit and the Sulphur Springs/Hopkins County Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at the residence, according to Delta County Chief Deputy Jim Lewman.

“It was a clean entry, no injuries and no weapon discharges,” Lewman said Wednesday afternoon.

A quantity of suspected methamphetamine was found during the raid along with U.S. currency, digital scales and zip-lock packaging bags, according to Lewman.

Bonds of $50,000 each were set Thursday morning.

Lewman said the investigation is continuing.
