Doing a Drug Take Back

Hopkins County Sheriff’s officials D.A.R.E. Deputy Brad Cummings and Deputy Major Willis sort a bag full of pills into a recepticle that will be disposed of by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Law enforcement officers collected almost 20 pounds of unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications for disposal Saturday at the sheriff’s office during a National Drug Take Back Day. County Commissioners discuss DA’s budget, burn ban

Cumby and Saltillo Relay for Life youth teams are getting a jump on fund raising for the annual event which benefits the American Cancer Society. They’re spending Monday asking people to help them “Scare Cancer” as they “trick or treat” for donations to RFL.
