Man in custody since January charged in church burglary

Property stolen during a January church burglary and a business theft which occured in the fall were recovered last week by Hopkins County law enforcement officers.


Council expected to approve agreement on downtown work

While Sulphur Springs City Council members were in a special meeting at noon today, heavy equipment was positioned, ready and waiting for the go-ahead to begin demolition of a small section of College/Main Street at the southeast corner of the downtown square.


Knocking Out Cancer - Relay Style

SSMS presents free performance of UIL One Act Play, A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT DREAM

Sulphur Springs Middle School’s One Act Play team will present a free performance of their UIL play “A Midsummers Night’s Dream” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the Civic Center.


Weather siren miscue Saturday in Cumby

Cumby residents got a bit of a scare Saturday evening, when the city’s weather siren was mistakenly sounded. A mix up in the county dispatch center was blamed for the error.
