Local motorists feeling pain at the pump

No matter how many times you pull up to the gas pump, it seems the price continues to increase. Its certainly no illusion in Sulphur Springs — over the past two weeks, prices for regular unleaded gasoline have increased about 20 cents, and the cost continues to go up.

Multi-agency investigation begun in false auto title scam

Sheriff’s investigators, Texas Rangers and Texas Comptrollers’ Officer are investigating a local auto business said to have filed lost title complaints on vehicles that had already been paid for, then claiming they have liens and attempting to repossess them.
