Four seek two at-large seats on hospital board

By the end of the filing period for seats on Hopkins County Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors, four people had signed up as candidates for two at-large seats on that board.


Gearing up for a fun night at the VFW

Ladies Auxiliary members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8560 set up silent auction items for the VFW’s annual Fish Fry and Fund Raiser Saturday. Roy Dean Duffey re-indicted in stabbing death

Roy Dean Duffey was indicted during last month’s Grand Jury session for at least the second time for murder in the stabbing death of David Harrison Cooper in February 2011.


Grand Jury indicts 49 in February session

The February 2012 Hopkins County Grand Jury session concluded with at least 49 indictments signed for further prosecution against 49 individuals.
