Early voting ends today for city, school, hospital elections

With only hours remaining, the pace of early voting in the Sulphur Springs City Council, Hopkins County Memorial Hospital District and Sulphur Springs Independent School District elections has remained slow.


SSHS Librarian Lou Ann Clark retiring from ‘the best job in the district’

Lou Ann Clark spent over 30 years in education, but it was in 1981 that she found her true calling. She received her library certification in 1978, and three years later took a job as the middle school librarian in Commerce when it came open.

Sulphur Springs High School’s top Business Professionals of America students came home from the national leadership conference in Chicago with top 10 rankings and other honors in competition against the brightest in the country.
